Born into music, pop singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has been performing and impressing his whole life. The son of canadian and American folk singer parents, Rufus began playing piano at the age of 6, and has yet to lift his fingers off the keys. He performed and even wrote his own music throughout his teenage years, touring with his family, including singer sister Martha Wainwright, exuding proficiency and individuality with his art.
Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will also perform for one night only on Friday August 17 at 8pm, in beautiful Fairmont Park. See this pop-rock icon sing his favorites under the stars at the Mann Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are still available for this show. Special guest: Neko Case

Though she defies most conventional genre labels, singer Neko Case swings between the worlds of heavy art rock and bittersweet country. Currently on tour for her latest CD, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, Case is in town to play XPN's Free At Noon, and also the concert at the Mann Music Center on Friday.
