Featuring The Raveonettes
Danish pop duo, The Raveonettes, started out in Copenhagen where Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo met and began working on their debut album Whip It On in 2001. They managed most of the production work themselves in an old Sony recording studio and combined elements of 50s and 60’s rock with harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers and The Ronettes. They were 'officially' discovered by Rolling Stone editor David Fricke at one of their first gigs at the SPOT festival in Denmark and got off to a great start with the release of the album Whip It On, winning “Best Rock Album of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards in 2003.
Their latest album Lust Lust Lust has was released last month and has brought them back to their previous award winning style.
In addition to Friday's Free At Noon, The Raveonettes will play a full show at Johnny Brenda's on Thursday night March 27, 2008.
