Do You Like Rock Music?
Featuring British Sea Power
After forming in 2000, Brighton-based band British Sea Power swept the stages and their engaging and unique live performances define their early career. Delicately dipped in reverb, their songs are entrancing and full of jagged pop hooks and though they are often compared to bands such as The Cure and Joy Division, British Sea Power presents a style of their own-- playful, logical, profound and defined by dazzling instrumentals.
BSP once again reigns over the seas, marking their international territory with the release of their third album Do You Like Rock Music?. Recorded in several countries, including the Czech Republic, Canada, and Fort Tregantle - a 19th Century fortification in Cornwall, on England’s south-west coast, the album has hit #10 on the UK charts. The band's first two albums, Decline of British Sea Power and Open Season reached the Top 40 and #13, respectively on the UK Albums Chart Come see British Sea Power, Friday at Noon.
In addition to Friday's Free At Non, British Sea Power plays Philly's Johnny Brenda's on May 9, and a sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on May 10.
