Featuring Page McConnell (of Phish)
Known primarily for his work as "The Chairman of the Boards" as a pianist/keyboardist for the jam rock band Phish, Page McConnell has come into his own as a solo recording artist after twenty years as a supporting member of the band. His improvisational key work was one of the most instrumental elements of the renowned Phish live show, a style which he carried over to the composition of his own work for the upcoming solo debut, self-titled Page McConnell.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1963, McConnell honed his skills as a classical, improvisational, and contemporary pianist while studying at Southern Methodist University and Goddard College in Vermont. He expanded his skills over the years with Phish, always bringing something new to the keys no matter which set he presided over. In 2001, McConnell formed an electronic side project band, Vida Blue, which released two albums over three years, before McConnell set down to work on his solo work.
