Featuring Son Volt at World Cafe Live!!

Blending the sounds of classic Americana (country, folk, roots-rock) into a sound that is at once both familiar and original, Son Volt and bandleader Jay Farrar compose elegant, powerfully melodic songs that shine with undeniable intelligence and more than a little bit of melancholy.

For, their forthcoming record due out in March 2007, The Search, Farrar and co. have crafted what looks to be the most musically diverse set of songs of the band's career. Featuring a variety of new instruments including guitar pedal loops, various keyboard sounds, and horns, The Search is set up to be an engaging and worthy heir to the Son Volt catalogue.
