Featuring a DOUBLE-HEADER The Dears with Evan Dando (of The Lemonheads) as the Opening Act
The Dears are making a stop at WXPN and World Cafe Live on September 29. They are on a world tour celebrating the release of their new CD Gang of Losers. Present their own particular brand of indie rock featuring a distinct pop sensibility, this six-piece band has a layered, well-crafted sound, accented by vocals.
Indie songwriter Evan Dando has recently reformed his celebrated outfit The Lemonheads for a new album to be released on the Vagrant label. Dando’s group came to prominence with their classic full length “It’s A Shame About Ray” which included the hit title track as well as their rousing cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson.” Evan is now building steam once again with a new incarnation of The Lemonheads. Evan will do a solo acoustic set to open Friday's show.
Sure to be a sell-out!
