numbers. Those pesky little things on the chalkboard. Where do
they come from and what do they really do for us? We bring you
stories on how they confuse us, connect us, and reveal secrets

-- WUOT's Monthly Call-In Program On our next
Dialogue, Chrissy Keuper will speak with State
Commissioner Dave Mitchell. Mitchell is the Commissioner of the
Tennessee Department of Safety and is also the Director of the
Tennessee Office of Homeland Security. He's been a police
officer with the Murfreesboro Police Department, an instructor
at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy, and a deputy
sheriff in Tampa, Florida. Mitchell was also a Special Agent for
the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was a member of the
nation's first Joint Terrorism Task Force. Tune in for the
discussion on Wednesday, December 2nd, at 1

Brubeck Quartet - Coming up to his 89th birthday on
December 6th, Brubeck is a revered jazz elder who still loves to
perform. His music elicits adoration and big cheers at
Newport. Airs Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m.

McPARTLAND'S PIANO JAZZ Beegie Adair -Pianist
Beegie Adair is known for an impeccable sense of swing and her
smooth but intricate playing. The Nashville resident has been an
in-demand pianist for the town's best country musicians, but her
heart belongs to those classic tunes from the Great American
Songbook. Adair performs a graceful version of "I Wished on the
Moon" and teams up with McPartland for her signature closer,
"We'll Be Together Again." Airs Friday, Dec. 11 at 9
